I had bought an antique style lamp and just couldn't find the bulbs with the right brightness. Took a chance with these bulbs and I just love how they look!! The lamp that I bought them for is more or less decorative so if you are looking for a reading lamp these probably wouldn't work. I have them in a lamp in my front window so it has great curb appeal!! Glad I bought them!!The flickering strongly resembles a flame, very realistic. The hue is a beautiful glowy orange that adds to the evening ambience of any outdoor space. The brightness of the light itself is not too intense and not dim, it is just right. And we use it year round on our front porch, not just for Christmas or the holidays. It illuminates our swaying American flag beautifully in the night.This lamp is used in our outdoor post light. The way it randomly flickers is incredible and amazing. We are the envy of our neighbors with ordinary white lights. We recommended this light to them. They will likely order soon. Hope they wait a little while.Noticeable pattern sequence. Im not even sure if the flame sequence can be random or not, but compared to the last bulb I used (no longer carried) it's super easy to see the unrealistic sequence, which is very short.Did not flicker like the pictures shown. It was more strobe like. I only gave it 2 stars because it arrived quickly, They accepted my return immediately and it lit up but that's about it about it. If you want a flicker flame don't buy this LED light.I think the price is high but I liked the results of the bulbsThis is great! Looks beautiful and everyone thought I had installed a gas light.Used in the 1 meter tall Christmas outdoor red/yellow Blow Mold Candles. Looked super cool flickering, placed around the back yard skating rink. Left up all winter........ no problems.I like the flicker & cool touch to the bulb.
